I'm a Teacher of the Deaf with 15 years experience supporting DHH kids and their families in the bilingual education space.
I'm also a hearing parent raising a bilingual Deaf 5 yr old who does not fit conveniently into any one space.
I thought all that professional knowledge meant I'd simply walk into meetings for my own son and advocate without a blip.
Not exactly. Because when it's your own child and their future on the line, things just hit different.
I've sat under the same fluorescent lights, in the same rooms, feeling the same fog so many of you reading this have felt.
We turn up with the reports printed, policies highlighted and the perfect scripts ready to go in our head.
And yet, when the room gets tense or someone pushes back or we start questioning whether we're being too "difficult" - suddenly we can't get out the things we want to say over a pounding heart and the heat running through our body.
And the reason why, is this....
Good advocacy stems from more than just having the right information.
Yes, knowledge matters, preparation matters, having aligned evidence matters (and I'll teach you all of that), but honestly?
That's all just white noise if the person holding those things doesn't genuinely believe in it or trust their ability to use it....
Research shows us time and time again that 80% of advocacy success comes from our own mindset and perceived ability to show up in these spaces.
It means trusting what you know about your child, believing you have the right to ask directly for what they need and having the tools to stay grounded when the conversation gets uncomfortable.
That's what this masterclass builds... the tools and a solid foundation to stand on when you use them.

And let's start taking Action in Advocacy.
Inside the Masterclass, you will learn how to:
✔ Build a calm, grounded and unwavering advocacy identity... especially for all the people pleasers, conflict avoiders and chronic second-guessers (that used to be me)
✔ Turn valid concerns into clear, direct requests that actually get acknowledged and not dismissed
✔ Use my very simple, repeatable 4-step framework to prepare, communicate and follow through in every meeting
✔ Ask the right questions in a way that shifts perspectives and works for any advocacy meeting or conversation you find yourself in
✔ Use evidence, reports and policy strategically and intentionally - no law degree required!
✔ Use proven meeting scripts, agendas, follow up formulas and clear accountability processes you can rinse and repeat
✔ Meet pushback with certainty and without losing your footing or burning all the bridges
✔ Advocate in an aligned way that is clear, collaborative, strategic and sustainable for you and your family's goals
This Masterclass is for you if...
You are tired...
You want to stop..
You are preparing..
...of being told your child is “fine” when your gut knows the full picture has not been measured or considered.
...unintentionally handing your power over to people who are more comfortable when you stay quiet.
... for an IEP, ILP, school meeting, NDIS review, funding conversation or transition plan (or any advocacy meeting really!)
You want to know..
You are sick of...
You want real tools
...what to ask for, how to ask for it and what next steps are if the answer is no (and there are many!)
reactive emails, vague promises and leaving meetings unsure what was agreed on and with no plan.
(not just encouragement) that help you practically shift from a passive people pleaser to the advocate your child needs - and the one that's already inside you.
Words from my community...
A final note from me...
Here's the thing I need you to know....
You do not need to be fearless.
You do not need to know every policy off by heart.
You do not need to be perfect or aggressive or impossible to work with.
But you DO deserve to know that your voice has weight in every conversation about your child’s education, access and future... and you deserve to know exactly HOW to use that voice to get the outcome you want.
Advocacy is a muscle. And you have everything you need to build it.
And I'm here to show you how.
